LA SIESTA single hammock Sonrisa can be left outside all summer! Sonrisa is made of HamacTex® (polypropylene). This fibre is weatherproof, fast-drying and surprisingly similar to cotton in look and touch. Sonrisa is from Colombia, where hammocks have always been an essential part of everyday life. A typical characteristic of all hammocks manufactured in Colombia is the open-loop-suspension.

Delivering your hammock

Top Tip: always sign 'arrived as damaged' when receiving goods from a courier.. That way, if something has been damaged in transit, the courier bears the cost. In the unlikely event that the courier has damaged the goods in transit you MUST let us know within 24hours.

How much does it cost ?

For customers on the UK mainland.

We are shipping from our warehouse in Germany. We charge £10.50 for a hammock and smaller items. If your order includes as stand, we charge £15. If your hammock includes a stand a either a large spreaderbar hammock or a large hanging chair, shipping may be £25.50. For bigger orders, shipping will cost a bit more.

For customers outside the UK mainland.

1. Jersey & Guensey - up to 15kg - £21.60 , Over 15kg - £48
2. EU & other non-mainland UK - up to 20kg - £44, over 20kg - £120
3. Other countries - please contact us for a quote - we will charge you what it costs us for the shipping plus £5 if we need to fill in customs invoices for non-EU countries.

How long does delivery take ?

We dispatch orders on normal working days. i.e. Monday to Friday.

We do not dispatch orders on Saturday, Sunday or Public Holidays.

Our couriers will deliver 3-4 working days after your order is dispatched. This is Monday to Friday 9am-5pm, unless you have decided to pay for Saturday delivery.

Non-Uk deliveries should also take 3-4 working days.

When exactly will my order be delivered ?

Your order will be delivered 3-4 days after it is dispatched. We will email you with a tracking code and a link to the couriers website. If you call the courier and give them your tracking code, they will be able to indicate whether your order will be delivered in the morning or afternoon, and sometimes even more accurately.

What happens if I am not in when they try to deliver ?

The courier will leave a calling card with a phone number on. You should call them to arrange a re-delivery on a day when you are likely to be in. You can also collect your order from the local courier depot - usually no more than a 15 minute drive.

You can also leave a note stuck to your front door asking the courier to leave the package somewhere you regard as safe. If you do this and the package goes missing then any loss is between you and the courier. Having said that we are happy to make phone calls on your behalf.

What do I do if my order doesn't arrive ?

Firstly, double check the time and day when you placed your order to see if you really should be expecting it to arrive . I've lost count of the number of customers who order on Saturday and phone up on Monday to ask where it is.

Then, if your order should be on it's way, but you have not yet received an email with a tracking code (expect this email by 10am on the working day following the dispatch day), call us.

If you have a tracking code, you can track your parcel on the couriers website (there will be a direct link in the email we send to you). You can also phone the courier to get more information. We will happily help you with this, but it is more effective for the person at the delivery address to deal directly with the courier (can give directions etc.).

If you can't get any good news from the courier, please contact us, and we will sort it out.

IMPORTANT: You must contact us within 14 days of dispatch if you haven't received your order, otherwise, if it is lost, there is nothing we can do!

Which couriers does MyHammock use ?

We use GLS for most UK deliveries. GLS sometimes hand the goods over to Parcelforce for the last leg, and sometimes deliver it themselves.


Exchanges and Refunds

We want you to be happy with your purchase. Even if you are not happy with your purchase, we want you to be pleased with your experience of shopping with us.

Anything you buy from MyHammock can be returned within 30 days for a full refund.

You can expect a full refund for the product you ordered within 1 working day of the item coming back to us.

Please contact us for the UK returns address.

The essential information that you include should include with a returned item is as follows:
- your name
- your address
- your phone number
- your email address
- your order number
- a brief note saying what you want us to do.

A good place to book a cheap courier for small or large items is Most things can be shipped for £9.60.

We will refund you by reversing part or all of the transation, so the money will go back on to the card or into the account that it came from. We will email you once we have processed your returned items and then it will usually take under 3 days for the money to appear back in your account.

Important things to keep in mind

1. Always use a trackable courier service. If the item you are returning gets lost on the way, and you don't have a tracking number, it will be impossible to find, and we wont be able to refund you or make an exchange.

2. When returning something to us, it must come back undamaged and in its original packaging, (sealed products like fixings must be returned in unbroken packaging.) If the product comes back damaged we will not be able to refund you.

3. Make sure the item you are returning is well packaged for the journey back to us. Some couriers can be ungentle, and if the item gets damaged in transit, it will be for you and the couriers to sort out between yourselves.

4. In the unlikely event that you have a faulty item, please contact us before returning it. You may not need to return it. Also you may just need guidance with assembly. In the event that we collect something from you that turns out not to be faulty, we will charge you the returns shipping of £ to save hassle, please check with us first.

5. 30 days is the limit.


We guarantee the quality of our products.

If your hammock or stand breaks within a year of you receiving it, we will replace it quickly and without quibbling.

A good hammock should give you many years of relaxing. You will notice that our hammocks are often quadruple stitched where it matters, and the laying surface is a dense and strong fabric.

The weight capacity of our hammocks is on average 40% of the breaking point (I have tested this myself). So if the capacity stated is 120kg, it will probably break at 300kg .. which means that you can relax if you happen to weigh 119kg ! Our stands are really high quality products, whether made from powder coated steel or wood.

If anything should happen, just email a photo to us of the offending item and we will contact you straight away to sort out the problem.

There are some occasions where we won't replace an item...
1. If the item has been clearly misused. i.e.
- Using a Belize chair back to front.
- Using a hammock as trampoline.
- Keeping a stand or hammock partially submerged in water.
2. If you have had the item more than a year.

We guarantee the lowest price on our products.

We are confident that we offer our products at a lower price than anyone else possibly could!

So, if, in the unlikely event that you find an identical product for a lower price , we will not only refund any difference, but give you a voucher worth £10 to spend on either or

The rules...

1. You have 7 days from placing your order to tell us that you have found a lower price elsewhere.

2. The product must be priced in British Pounds

3. We offer free next day shipping to UK addresses, so the cost of next day shipping should be taken into account in any competitors price.

4. Any other items must also be brand new and carry at least a 1 year warrantee, as do all our products.
